Class of 2011
Melissa Reyes : Haverford College
I will be attending Haverford College in the fall, where I plan on majoring in Political Science, with a concentration in Islamic Studies. I have been very active with extracurricular activities in and out of school. I am Vice President of the Go Green Club, Vice President of CSF, an intern for the Campaign to Re-elect Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, a California Girl State Delegate, Secretary of L.U.L.A.C. --Chapter Nuestro Pueblo, a reader in the Literary Journal staff, a Youth and Government member, and a Stage Manager for plays and musicals at SAHS. I’d like to thank the NAC staff and Santa Ana High School faculty for guiding and helping me throughout my high school career. Your help has filled me with knowledge and experience that I can use during my next step in life--college. My advice to the graduating class of 2012 is to plan out your college process now. Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT procrastinate. I, like many other senior friends, waited until last-minute moments to complete certain applications and it was so stressful. Even though things will be hectic in senior year, relax, and enjoy it. It goes by so quickly.
